Solar and wind energy combine (hybrids) installation complement each other. Losses from shadows cast by wind turbine account for mere 1 to 2% loss. It was previously thought that shadows cast by wind turbine account for losses.
Solar and wind comlement each other: solar works best in summer when there is much sunlight while wind works best in winter. Solar works only at most 5 hours during the day when the sun shines; wind can work when there is wind blowing even when the sun is not shining
