We met today with Jaaf Garcia, VP for development of AVG Power Systems. I met him as a guest in my entrep class. I had energy as a business long time ago but was not fortunate enough to seize it.
Our entry point would be financing the acquisition of alternative energy system. We would start inhouse - say our businesses consume a lot of electricity. One such candidate's electric bill, that of Holy Gardens memorial park Calamba rose from P11t, P19t to P29t. This was worrisome so that would be our start.
Jaaf initially quoted $4.00/watt price last month; so he visited our site two weeks ago together with Eddie - the head of our financing group.
We met today at Tiendensitas. Jaaf was one hour early but we arrived on time at 3 pm.
Today, Jaaf gave us a whopping 20% discount and said he will provide us with an AC system in modules of 500 watts each for easy upgrading. He quoted us a 3 kwP system costing P363,000.00.
The system would save us P5,000 in electricity bill a month, and pay for itself in 5 years, and generate a total of undiscounted cash flow of P1,300,000.
Wow!
Eddie thinks that he can have resort facilities in his home province his church as initial targets.
