Starwood properties in line with its 30/20 goal  by 2020 has gone into a partnership with NRG Solar in a global alliance for renewable energy.  St. John Westin Hotels in Virgin Islands will be fitted with 1.3 mW solar panel arrays and will lessen the hotel's dependence on imported diesel fuel (and we know that diesel is carcinogenic)

The 30/20 goal means that the group will have 30% less energy demand and 20% less fresh water requirements

NRG president and CEO David Crane said solar is become one of the most cost effective, environmentally beneficial option for businesses.

Will the PHL Phil tourism sector go solar?   Many resorts in the PHL are away from the grid and many have gen sets for the energy requirements.  Say in Palawan, El Nido has electricity only from 2 pm to 6 am daily despite the fact the NG comes from nearby Malampaya
