The DOE has accepted bids for 100,000 trikes (bidding took place last March) to utilize the $500 million Clean Technology Fund. This has been funded by ADB for $300 million with $l00 million counterpart from the PHL government.
The 100,000 units achievement will be until 2016. Japanese manufacturer Terra Seki is keen on supplying the e trikes (as usual, the funders get the bigger pie)
