More and bigger giant battery storage facilities for outputs of solar and wind energy are being built in California: one a 300 megawatt and another 100 megawatt. The storage facilty will be enough to power 300,000 homes for four hours, in the evening or when demand outstrips supply. They will be commissioned in 2021 (this year)
