Investment money is now chasing after storage.  Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have investments in various companies that are engaged in electricity storage:     Gates in Energy, Ambri, Aquion and Lightsail;   Buffett invested in Chinese company BYD that looks for residential storage solutions at homes in Australia.

The energy storage works well in electric vehicles but no such thing is available for power gen and large scale project.   Citi investment banking looks at renewable electricity storage as Energy Darwinism.  Energy storage investment and development is in the same stage as solar panels in Germany 5 to 6 years ago.

With storage, solar and renewables steal from other baseloads the baseload status, and will make power gen cheaper.
