Graphene is an exceptionally strong material only an atom thick, just similar to its cousin carbon fiber and is finding a number of exotic materials used in electronics, batteries, and PV.

When subjected to a strong magnetic field, the  atoms form a butterfly effect. This is done by using boron nitride to form a perfect lattice for the butterfly effect.  (We know the use of boron in a recent post on use of boron for stronger L-ion storage(  Please read post on this blog re graphene boron combination in batteries)

Latest use of graphene is on smartphones that are scratch proof.  The product concept of a foldable or rollable smartphone

Boron in graphene could improve its capacity to retain Lithium ions for greater Li-ion capacity.  Graphene lattices, a new space material which could have very dense storage capacity could not do so as is, but researchers/scientists at Rice University found a way to increase capacity by adding Boron. The lead scientist is Dr. Boris  Yakobson.  Graphene's performance is 2x that of graphite, the traditional material used for Li-ion batteries.

Yakobson and first Rice researcher Yuanye Liu estimated the lithiated graphene boron capacity to be  714 milliamps per hour per gram or 2, 120 watt hours per kg. when paired with commercial boron lithium oxide

The next step is how to commercialize the idea, ie produce the lithiated graphene/boron in large quantity
